OBJECTIVES AND FIELD OF ACTIVITY
FEDEK contributes to enhancing the quality of education in Faculties of Arts, Sciences, Arts and Sciences, and Letters/Humanities (hereinafter referred to as FEF) in Türkiye by carrying out accreditation, evaluation, and information dissemination activities for programs across various disciplines. FEDEK was established to advance education, scientific research, and community service in FEF departments.
To achieve its objectives, FEDEK engages in the following activities:
Evaluating and accrediting FEF degree programs upon the request of institutions,
Selecting and training evaluators who will take part in accreditation activities,
Informing and training program administrators and faculty members regarding program evaluation,
Continuously monitoring the current and future needs of FEF program stakeholders to establish program evaluation criteria and, when necessary, review and update these evaluation criteria and processes,
Organizing and supporting national and international courses, seminars, conferences, panels, workshops, and similar meetings,
Communicating, cooperating, conducting joint projects, and collaborating with national and international associations, professional organizations, and accreditation agencies related to education, evaluation, and accreditation,
Entering into international bilateral and multilateral recognition agreements,
Becoming a member of relevant national and international organizations,
Conducting or commissioning studies and research to enhance and improve its activities,
Procuring all necessary information, documents, and publications; establishing a documentation center and a website; producing publications such as newspapers, magazines, and books in line with its goals to announce its work; issuing working and information bulletins for distribution to its members; and preparing, disseminating, and publishing printed and audiovisual materials related to its field of activity,
Procuring all types of technical equipment, fixtures, and stationery supplies,
Conducting fundraising activities and accepting domestic and international donations in accordance with the procedures specified in the Law No. 2860 on Fundraising and subject to obtaining the necessary permits,
Establishing and operating commercial, industrial, and economic enterprises or becoming a partner in similar enterprises to generate required income,
Purchasing, selling, leasing, or renting movable and immovable properties required for its activities, and establishing rights in rem (aynî hak) on immovable properties,
Establishing a federation or joining an existing federation if deemed necessary; establishing facilities that associations are permitted to set up upon obtaining the required permissions; and founding foundation unions with a portion of its assets,
Conducting joint projects with public institutions and organizations on matters within their scope of activity if deemed necessary, without prejudice to the provisions of Law No. 5072 on the Relations of Associations and Foundations with Public Institutions and Organizations,
Establishing platforms with other associations, foundations, trade unions, federations, and similar non-governmental organizations to achieve common goals in areas related to its objectives and not prohibited by law.

TURKISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE PROGRAM CRITERIA
These program criteria apply to programs containing "Turkish Language and Literature" in their titles. It must be demonstrated that graduates have acquired the knowledge, skills, and competencies in the following areas in line with the objectives stipulated by the program:
Having knowledge of the historical development and current position of Turkish Language and Literature; possessing knowledge of Old/Modern Turkish Language/Literature, Turkish Folk Literature, and Contemporary Turkish Literature;
Understanding and analyzing the works of Turkish Language and Literature within the framework of scientific criteria;
Using Turkish correctly and eloquently; possessing the ability to apply language and literary knowledge;
Demonstrating an interdisciplinary approach toward solving language and literature problems;
Being aware of contemporary issues in the fields of language and literature brought about by the current era;
Possessing the ability to grasp fundamental language and literature concepts and being capable of utilizing field knowledge for educational purposes;
Demonstrating the ability to benefit from other social sciences and humanities (such as literature, art history, archaeology, law, sociology, and philosophy).
FEDEK LEARNING OUTCOMES
Sufficient knowledge in fields related to their respective programs, with the ability to apply theoretical and practical knowledge to their domain.
Ability to identify, define, interpret, formulate, and solve field-specific problems; ability to select and apply appropriate analysis and modeling methods for this purpose.
Ability to understand and interpret a process, event, phenomenon, equipment, or product, and solve related problems using modern methods.
Completion of at least two elective courses outside the major field of study within the curriculum.
Ability to select, use, and develop modern tools necessary for domain applications, and to effectively utilize information technologies.
Ability to design, conduct experiments, perform fieldwork, collect data, analyze results, archive, decipher texts, and/or interpret text according to their respective fields.
Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively in Turkish, both orally and in writing; knowledge of at least one foreign language.
Awareness of lifelong learning, ability to access information, follow developments in science and technology, and continuously self-renew.
Professional ethics and sense of responsibility.
Awareness of the global and societal impacts of domain applications (environmental issues, economy, sustainability, etc.) and their legal consequences.
